Sicker Man is the solo project of Tobias Vethake (Blainbieter, Fotomaton, Vincent) where he hovers between true ambient pop singles and new ways of defining classical music. After studying classical cello at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover, Tobias Vethake was drawn to songwriting, initiating several collaborative as well as solo projects.

Picking up many other instruments in the process, such as guitar, bass, mandolin, synthesizers, Rhodes, drums, and electronics, Tobias has found his new home painting beautifully strange landscapes that touch on both his classical and songwriting talents.

Resembling a chamber orchestra manned by Willy Wonka on stage, improvising on his arsenal of instruments and effects, Tobias builds layers of texture and melody resulting in a blissful yet edgy sphere of pure energy. Tipping between slow beauty and almost Krautrock reminiscent noise, Tobias adds his chilling vocals resulting in an extremely unique musical experience called Sicker Man.

Tobias is currently involved in composing soundtracks for film and theater.
